National Volunteer Week runs from April 15 - 21, 2012 and is a special week designated to celebrate people who give their time, skills and energy to help create stronger and more vibrant communities.
According to a recently released survey, the number of Canadians who volunteer increased to 13.3 million -- that means we have even more reason to celebrate!
This National Volunteer Week, let's celebrate the work of all volunteers in Calgary who help make our city strong and vibrant.

5. Just say thanks.
Don't forget to say the magic words "thank you" to a special volunteer that you know. A little thanks goes a long way. It fuels a volunteer's motivation and makes them feel that what they are doing is making a diffference.
